Built around the light
In late June the sun sets at 23:42 and rises again at 03:19. In between, the sky never goes fully dark. We run the hotel around that light: breakfast when you wake, dinner at dusk, the sauna whenever the sea looks right.

Forty minutes by boat.
Our boat leaves Brekke harbour three times a day and waits for late trains. It threads the skerries on the way out, so the crossing is part of the stay.
Parking at the harbour is free for guests. Private crossings on request, day or night.

The morning boat
Guests arriving today step off at the boathouse. Breakfast runs until the last one sits down.
Seal skerries
An hour by open boat to the outer rocks, where grey seals haul out at low tide.
Lunch on the slipway
Fish soup, rye bread and whatever the smokehouse finished this morning.
Sauna and cold sea
The wood-fired sauna sits on the rocks. In June the sea is around eleven degrees.
Dinner, from the boat
Five courses from what came in on the afternoon boat. One seating, eighteen tables.
Last light
The sun touches the sea and the sky stays blue until it rises again, four hours later.
When to come.
We open from May to September. In June the light hardly leaves. By September the evenings are dark again and the stars come back.
